Cripple Creek, Colorado is a small mountain city located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The city was founded in 1891 and has a rich history as one of the most successful gold mining towns in the United States. To get to Cripple Creek you can take US Highway 24 from Colorado Springs or take US Highway 50 from Pueblo. These casinos have helped revitalize Cripple Creek’s economy since gambling was legalized in 1991.
