Moving to Central City, Colorado
Central City is located at 50km west of Denver. It seems to be doing a better job of preserving the atmosphere of the 1800s, but both towns are worth a look. It’s Opera presents top soloists performing English-language operas in the town’s restored opera house from the 1800s. The best way to get to Central City and Black Hawk from Denver is to take one of the economical coaches that depart from area hotels. parking tickets are very expensive, and if visitors will be drinking, they won’t want to get back behind the wheel on those winding mountain roads.
