Woodbridge, Connecticut is located in New Haven County and has a population of approximately 9,811 people. It covers an area of 25.3 square miles and is bordered by Bethany, Orange, Ansonia, Derby, and Seymour. The town’s climate is humid continental with hot humid summers and cold winters.

The history of Woodbridge dates back to 1659 when it was first established as a parish within New Haven County. In 1784 it became an incorporated town. During the Revolutionary War the town was home to several prominent figures such as General Gold Selleck Silliman who led troops in the Battle of Long Island Sound.

Politically Woodbridge leans towards the Democratic party with the majority of its residents voting for Democratic candidates in most elections. The economy of Woodbridge is largely based on services and retail businesses with some light manufacturing taking place in the industrial park located near downtown.
