Mooresville, Indiana is located in the south-central part of the state, in the heart of Indiana’s famous “Crossroads” region. The geography of Mooresville is largely flat and rural, with rolling hills and farmland that are typical of the Midwest. The climate of Mooresville is mild, with hot summers and cold winters. The area receives a moderate amount of precipitation, allowing for plenty of outdoor activities year-round.

Mooresville’s history dates back to 1824 when it was first settled by a group of Quakers from North Carolina. Since then, the city has grown steadily, becoming a hub for small businesses and industry. Mooresville has been governed by a Mayor and City Council since 1928; currently the city has five wards that are represented by six council members.
