The community is home to many festivals throughout the year including the annual Fourth Fest celebration which includes fireworks, live music, food vendors, carnival rides and more. The Summer Arts Festival offers art displays from local artists while the Fall Festival features crafts from local crafters and farmers’ markets offering fresh produce from local farms.

Midland also has several museums including The Herbert H Dow Museum which details the life and work of Herbert H Dow who founded Dow Chemical Company in 1897; Midland Center For The Arts which houses art exhibits as well as performing arts events such as concerts; Alden B Dow Home & Studio Museum which was designed by world-renowned architect Alden B Dow himself; and Oldsmobile Park & Automotive Heritage Museum which focuses on Midland’s automotive history dating back to 1899 when Oldsmobile was founded here by Ransom E Olds.
