Cumberland, Rhode Island is a small city located in the western part of the state. It is bounded by the Blackstone River on one side and the Woonasquatucket River on the other. The climate in Cumberland is mild with occasional snowfall in winter and moderate temperatures during summer. The area has a rich history dating back to colonial times when it was first settled by European immigrants. Many of the original structures still stand today, such as several historical churches and homes.
