Mauriceville, Texas is a small rural town located in Orange County, Texas. The town is situated on the Sabine River and has a population of about 1,000 people. It is a part of the Beaumont-Port Arthur Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The area was originally settled by French immigrants in the early 1800s and was named after Maurice LeBlanc, one of the original settlers. The town was incorporated in 1873 and has remained relatively unchanged since then.

Mauriceville is known for its rural charm and small-town feel. The main street of town is lined with historical buildings and homes that have been preserved since the town’s founding. There are several churches throughout the town that host weekly services as well as various community events throughout the year such as festivals, parades, and more.

One of Mauriceville’s most popular attractions is its annual fair which takes place each spring at the local fairgrounds. This event features carnival rides, live music, food vendors, craft booths, livestock shows, rodeo events, tractor pulls and much more! There are also several other events held throughout the year including an annual barbecue cook-off competition in October which draws large crowds from not only Texas but from all over the country!

In addition to its many attractions, Mauriceville also has a great school system with two elementary schools (Mauriceville Elementary School & Little Cypress Elementary School) as well as Little Cypress Junior High School & Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School which serve grades K-12 respectively.
