Bluff, Utah is a small town located in the southeastern corner of the state. It is nestled among the red rock cliffs and canyons of the San Juan River Valley, and is situated on the banks of the Colorado River. The town has a population of about 300 people, and its economy is largely based on tourism.

The area around Bluff was originally inhabited by members of the Anasazi tribe. The first Anglo-American settlers came to Bluff in 1880, and it was officially founded in 1881. Today, much of the town’s history can still be seen in its many historic buildings and structures including an old trading post that dates back to 1884.

Bluff is known for its natural beauty and outdoor activities. Its close proximity to Monument Valley allows visitors to experience some of the most breathtaking views in all of Utah. There are also numerous hiking trails, campsites, fishing spots, and other recreational opportunities nearby that make it an ideal spot for outdoor adventurers.

The town itself has a number of charming attractions such as historic buildings like The Bluffs Hotel which was built in 1895 or The Whitehorse Trading Post which dates back to 1903. There are also several local eateries like The Comb Ridge Cafe or Recapture Lodge where visitors can enjoy some delicious food while admiring views of Comb Ridge or Monument Valley respectively.

Perhaps one of Bluff’s best attractions is its annual Pioneer Days celebration which takes place each summer around the Fourth of July holiday. During this event locals come together for parades, rodeos, live music performances and more! It’s a great way to get a taste for what life was like during Bluff’s early pioneering days while having fun with friends and family at the same time!

All in all Bluff is an amazing place to visit with plenty to offer visitors whether they’re looking for adventure or relaxation! With its stunning scenery, unique history and culture, friendly people and abundance of outdoor activities it’s no wonder why so many people flock here each year.
