Handley, West Virginia is a small town located in the eastern panhandle of the state. It is situated in Berkeley County, just a few miles from the Maryland border. With a population of just over 500 people, Handley has remained small and rural for most of its history.

The town was established in 1848 and named after Thomas Handley, an early settler who owned land in the area. The early settlers were mostly farmers who grew corn and wheat on their land. As the years went on, more people moved to Handley and it became a thriving community with several stores, churches, and businesses.

The town has always been proud of its agricultural heritage and many residents still work in the farming industry today. In addition to farming, some residents work in nearby towns such as Martinsburg or Charles Town.

The town also has several small parks where families can picnic or go for walks on nice days. Nearby attractions include Harpers Ferry National Historical Park which is about 30 minutes away and Skyline Drive which is about 45 minutes away.
