Sheboygan is a city located in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. It is situated on the western shore of Lake Michigan, approximately 50 miles north of Milwaukee. The city has a population of around 48,000 people and covers an area of nearly 19 square miles.

Geographically, Sheboygan experiences four distinct seasons with hot summers and cold winters. Average summer temperatures range from the mid-70s to the mid-80s while winter temperatures range from the low 20s to the mid-30s. There are frequent snowfalls during winter months and occasional rains throughout the year.

The city has a rich history that dates back to its founding in 1846 by German immigrants who were looking for a place to settle down and start new lives. Over time, Sheboygan has become known as an industrial hub for manufacturing with local companies such as Kohler Company, Sargento Foods Inc., Johnsonville Sausage Co., and Vollrath Manufacturing Co. leading the way. In addition to manufacturing, Sheboygan is also home to many small businesses including restaurants, boutiques, retail stores, and service providers which contribute greatly to its economy.

Politically speaking, Sheboygan is part of Wisconsin’s 6th congressional district which is currently represented by Glenn Grothman (R). The city also elects its own mayor and city council members who work together to make decisions that are in the best interests of Sheboygan’s citizens.

Sheboygan boasts several educational institutions ranging from primary schools all the way through universities such as Lakeland College which offers both associate’s degrees and bachelor’s degrees in various fields such as business administration, criminal justice administration, computer science, education studies and more.

The city has a diverse population with various ethnic backgrounds, including German, Irish, English, French and Polish populations. The majority of the population is white (86%), followed by African American (7%) and Hispanic or Latino (3%). Additionally, there are smaller populations of Asian (2%) and Native American (1%) residents in Sheboygan.
