Canton, Maine, is a small town located in Oxford County, about an hour northwest of Portland. It has a population of about 2,800 people and is situated on the banks of the Androscoggin River. Canton is known for its beautiful scenery and outdoor activities.

The town is home to many historic buildings, including the old Canton Opera House which was built in 1883 and is one of the oldest opera houses in Maine.
