Clearfield, Utah is a city in Davis County with a population of about 30,000 people. The city is located in the northern part of the Wasatch Front region and is situated at the base of the Wasatch Mountain Range. It has a semi-arid climate with hot summers and cold winters.

The history of Clearfield dates back to 1867 when it was established as a farming community. Its population grew slowly over time, reaching 4,000 people by 1960. In recent years, however, it has seen an influx of new residents due to its close proximity to Hill Air Force Base and other military facilities. This has caused a rapid growth in population, reaching 30,000 today.

Politically speaking, Clearfield is part of the Republican stronghold in Utah and has long been a conservative-leaning city.
