Elberta is a small town located in Baldwin County, Alabama. With a population of just over 1,500 people, Elberta is a rural community with all the charm and hospitality of the Deep South. Located on the Gulf Coast, Elberta is surrounded by beautiful beaches and scenic landscapes.

The town was founded in 1892 by German settlers who were looking for an ideal place to raise their families. The name Elberta was chosen to honor one of the settlers’ daughters. The town has retained its small-town charm and friendly atmosphere throughout its history, making it a great place to live and raise a family.

Elberta is home to many parks and outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, camping, hiking, swimming, hunting and more. There are plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation in this area including trails at Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge and Gulf State Park. For those looking for more urban activities there are plenty of shopping centers with local boutiques as well as larger stores like Walmart and Target located nearby in Foley or Mobile.
