Grangeville is a small town in the foothills of Idaho’s Salmon River Mountains. It is located approximately 130 miles north of Boise, and is the county seat of Idaho County. The town was originally founded in 1895 by miners, who named it after the Grangeville Mining District. Since then, Grangeville has grown to become a thriving community with a population of around 2,000 people.
