Greenwood, Delaware is a small town in Sussex County located on the Delmarva Peninsula. It is situated at the intersection of Route 13 and Route 16. The population as of 2020 was 2,633 people.

The town was founded in 1727 by a Quaker settler named John Greenwood and was initially part of Maryland until 1776 when it became part of Delaware. The town has a rich history and was the site of several Revolutionary War battles. Greenwood is well known for its many historic structures including the Greenwood Friends Meetinghouse, built in 1790 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as well as several other old homes and buildings that date back to the 18th century.

Greenwood is a tight-knit community that prides itself on its small-town atmosphere and strong sense of community spirit.
