It is one of the oldest settlements on the island, with a rich history that dates back to at least 1000 AD. The town is situated on the slopes of Hualalai volcano and overlooks Kailua Bay and Kealakekua Bay. Holualoa has a population of approximately 1,500 people and is known for its quaint atmosphere, stunning views, and friendly locals.
