Lilburn was incorporated in Gwinnett County on July 27, 1910, and is thought to have been named after a railroad official who settled the town in 1892. When the community was originally settled it was called Bryan.
The Yellow River Game Ranch, in Lilburn, allows visitors to pet deer, buffalo and other animals that roam the ranch.
Old Town Lilburn, is a cluster of shops located in the historic area of the city. The annual Lilburn Daze Festival in October is held on the city’s Main Street to celebrate the town’s birthday.
Recently, U.S. News and World Report named Lilburn’s Parkview High School as one of 1996’s outstanding American High Schools.
