Lyons, Ohio is a small village located in northwest Ohio in the county of Fulton. It is situated on the banks of the Maumee River and is about 25 miles southwest of Toledo. The village was founded in 1847 by Samuel M. Lyons and has a population of just over 1,000 people.

The primary industry in Lyons is agriculture, with crops such as corn, soybeans and wheat being grown in the area. There are also several small businesses located in town that provide services to the surrounding communities.

The village has a quaint downtown area with several shops and restaurants that offer local cuisine from both sides of the river. There are also two churches located downtown – Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church and Zion Lutheran Church – which offer spiritual guidance to residents.

One of Lyons’ most popular attractions is its annual festival called “Lyons Days” which takes place every summer during the first weekend of August. The festival features carnival rides, live music, food vendors, art booths, and more! It draws locals from all over northwest Ohio who come to enjoy the festivities and fun atmosphere.

The village also hosts several other events throughout the year such as its “Christmas in Lyons” event which includes caroling, hot chocolate stands, activities for kids and adults alike, along with a parade down Main Street complete with floats!

The people of Lyons are proud of their small town heritage and strive to keep it alive through their community involvement and civic pride. The school district consists of one elementary school (K-8) and one high school (9-12), both located within walking distance from each other on Main Street.
