Memphis, Michigan is a small city located in Macomb County. It is about 30 miles northeast of Detroit and has a population of around 4,000 people. The climate in Memphis is typical for the Midwest, with hot summers and cold winters. The city experiences occasional snowfall in winter and occasional thunderstorms in summer.

The history of Memphis dates back to before the Revolutionary War when it was part of French Canada. In 1818, the first permanent settlers arrived from New York and settled on the banks of the Clinton River. Through the 19th century, Memphis grew as an agricultural community with a small population until World War II when its population began to grow steadily due to an influx of new residents from Detroit.
