Naselle is a small town of approximately 600 people located in Pacific County, Washington. The city is situated on the Columbia River and is surrounded by the Willapa Hills. It has a mild climate with mild summers and cool winters.

The history of Naselle dates back to the early 1800s when it was first settled by European settlers. The area was originally known as “Sauvie’s Island” after an early settler, John Sauvie. In 1873, the town was renamed “Naselle” after a local Native American chief.
