Ouzinkie is a small, unincorporated community located on Spruce Island in the Kodiak Archipelago in Alaska. It has a population of about 500 people and covers an area of about 4 square miles. The terrain is mostly flat with rolling hills and there are several streams and lakes nearby. The climate is mild, with temperatures usually ranging between 40-70 degrees Fahrenheit.

The history of Ouzinkie dates back to the early 19th century when Russian fur traders settled there. In 1867, the United States purchased Alaska from Russia, and Ouzinkie became part of America. In 1925, it was incorporated as a city, but that status was revoked in 1951 due to its small population size.

Politically, Ouzinkie falls within the boundaries of Kodiak Island Borough and is represented by Alaska’s At-Large Congressional District in Washington D.C.
