Pleasanton, Nebraska is a small city located in the southeastern corner of the state. It is situated about 40 miles from Lincoln and 60 miles from Omaha. The city is situated in a region of rolling hills, with the Platte River running through it. The climate in Pleasanton is generally mild with four distinct seasons. Summers are warm and humid, while winters can be cold and snowy.

The area was first settled by European settlers in the mid-1800s, who were attracted by its fertile soil and plentiful water sources. The city was incorporated in 1884 and has since grown to become a thriving community with a population of around 7,000 people.
