Ramsey, Illinois is a small city in Fayette County, located in the southern part of the state. It has a population of around 1,200 people. The city is located close to the Illinois River and has a humid continental climate with hot summers and cold winters.
The city was founded in 1857 by settlers from Virginia and Kentucky, who were looking for new land to farm. Over time, Ramsey grew into an important agricultural center for the area.
