Rustburg is a small, unincorporated town in Campbell County, Virginia. Located about 20 miles north of Lynchburg, Rustburg is a quiet and peaceful community that’s home to around 1,500 people.

The history of Rustburg dates back to the late 1700s when it was first settled by Revolutionary War veteran John Rust. The town was officially established in 1792 and named after its founder. Since then, Rustburg has been a small but tight-knit community that’s known for its friendly people and strong sense of community spirit.

The town itself is quite picturesque with rolling hills on all sides and plenty of green space. It’s home to several parks and recreational areas, including the popular Lake Rustburg Recreation Area which offers a variety of activities such as fishing, swimming, camping, and hiking.

Rustburg also has its own historic downtown area which is home to several unique shops and restaurants including the popular Rustic Coffee Shop & Bakery which serves freshly brewed coffee and delicious baked goods. There are also several antique stores in the area where you can find unique items from years gone by.
