Sebago, Maine is a small town located in Cumberland County, on the shore of Sebago Lake. The town has a population of approximately 4,000 people and is located about an hour away from Portland. The geography of Sebago is mostly hilly and forested with thick pine and hardwood forests. There are some wetlands and marshlands as well as plenty of lakes, ponds, and streams for fishing and swimming.

The climate in Sebago is typical for the Northeast with mild summers and cold winters. During the summer months temperatures can reach into the 80s with low humidity while winter temperatures can drop below freezing. Snowfall averages around 50 inches each year making it great for winter sports like skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.

Sebago was first settled in 1762 by William Jones who was granted 600 acres of land by Massachusetts Governor Francis Bernard. The Town was incorporated in 1788 as part of Cumberland County and has since grown to become a popular destination for tourists looking to explore Maine’s natural beauty or spend time at one of its many lakeside resorts or cabins.

Politically speaking, Sebago leans towards conservative values with most residents voting Republican in state elections.
