Shell Lake, Wisconsin is a small town located in Washburn County in the northwestern part of the state. It is situated on the shores of Shell Lake, a beautiful glacial lake that stretches for 11 miles and provides plenty of recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, boating, camping and more. The town was founded in 1885 and has grown to a population of just over 1,200 people.
