Slinger, Wisconsin is located in Washington County and is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. It has a population of 6,438 as of 2019. The city was officially incorporated in 1885 and was named after an early settler, August Slinger.

The geography of Slinger consists mostly of rolling hills and wooded areas with some open farm fields. The city is located on the western edge of the Kettle Moraine State Forest and is home to several small lakes and ponds. The largest lake in the area is Little Cedar Lake which covers over 300 acres.
