Stanleytown is a small, unincorporated community in Henry County, Virginia. Located just outside the town of Martinsville, Stanleytown offers a quiet and rural lifestyle to its few hundred residents. The community is named after the Stanley family, who bought the land in the mid-19th century and began to farm it.

The town itself consists of a few dozen homes and businesses spread out along a few streets. At the center of town is an old church building that was built in 1879 for members of the Primitive Baptist faith. The church still holds services every Sunday and is an important part of the community’s identity.

Other points of interest in Stanleytown include several old cemeteries, which are scattered throughout the area and contain graves dating back to the 19th century. In addition, there are several historic homes located in Stanleytown, many of which were built by prominent members of the community during its heyday as an agricultural hub in Henry County.
