Stephens City, Virginia is a small city located in the Shenandoah Valley, about 70 miles west of Washington D.C. It has a population of approximately 2,200 people, and is part of Frederick County. The geography of the area is mostly rolling hills and mountains with a few flat areas. The climate in Stephens City is temperate with warm summers and cold winters.

The history of Stephens City dates back to the late 1600s when it was settled by German immigrants. In 1758, the first town charter was granted and named after General Edward Stephens who led an expedition against Indians in the area. During the American Revolution, Stephens City was one of many towns attacked by British forces during their march through Virginia. Following the war, the town grew steadily until it was incorporated as a city in 1902.

The economy of Stephens City is largely driven by agriculture and tourism due to its proximity to nearby attractions such as Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park.
