Stockholm, Maine is located in Aroostook County in the northernmost part of the state. It has a population of about 500 people and is situated on the banks of the Aroostook River. The climate in Stockholm is cold and snowy during winter and warm and humid during summer. The average annual temperature is around 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

The history of Stockholm dates back to 1802 when it was first settled by settlers from Canada, although it wasn’t incorporated until 1827. As the years passed, Stockholm grew to become an agricultural center due to its fertile soil and abundant water supply from the river. In addition to farming, logging was also a mainstay of its economy throughout much of its history.

The history of Stockholm dates back to 1836 when it was first incorporated as a town. It was named after Stockholm, Sweden, which had been a trading partner of the town’s first settlers. Over the years, Stockholm has grown into an agricultural center for the region, with potatoes being its main crop.
