Troy is located in New Hampshire’s Sullivan County and is situated between the cities of Claremont and Newport. The city has a total area of 16.6 square miles and a population of just over 1,500 people. The climate in Troy is generally mild, with cold winters and hot summers.

Troy’s history dates back to 1764 when it was incorporated as a town, although it wasn’t until 1807 that it was given its current name.
