Webster, New York is located in the heart of Monroe County. It is situated between the Genesee River and Irondequoit Bay, making it a great spot for outdoor activities like fishing and boating. The city experiences four distinct seasons, with hot summers and cold winters. The average temperature ranges from thirty-eight degrees Fahrenheit in the winter to eighty-two degrees Fahrenheit in the summer.

The city of Webster has a rich history that dates back to 1818, when it was first settled by settlers from Massachusetts. It was incorporated as a village in 1823 and as a town in 1855. In 1965, Webster became an official city. Throughout its history, Webster has been home to many prominent figures including Frederick Douglass, Susan B Anthony and Sojourner Truth who were all active in the abolitionist movement.
