Windham is a town located in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. It is about 15 miles south of Manchester and 34 miles north of Boston. As of the 2010 census, there were 13,592 people living in the town. Windham has a total area of 24.9 square miles and is situated on the Merrimack River.

The climate in Windham is typical for the region, with cold winters and warm summers. Snowfall can be heavy during the winter months while rainfall increases during spring and summer months. The average temperature in July is 79°F while the average temperature in January is 24°F.

Windham was first settled by Europeans in 1719 and was incorporated as a town in 1742. It was originally part of Londonderry Township, which was divided into two separate townships: Windham and Derry, which later became known as Salem and Londonderry respectively. The town’s economy traditionally revolved around agriculture but has since diversified to include retail stores, restaurants, manufacturing plants, technology companies, medical facilities and financial institutions.

The Windham School District serves over 4500 students from kindergarten through 12th grade with four elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8) and one high school (9-12). There are also several private schools located within the town’s boundaries including Windham Christian Academy (K-8) and St Thomas Aquinas High School (9-12).

Windham is home to many historic landmarks including The Old Meeting House built in 1770 which served as a religious center for early settlers; The Old Town Hall built in 1828 which served as a community center until 1967; The Old Country Store built around 1820; The Homestead Farmstead built in 1815; The Rolfe House built around 1790; And many more!
