Woodsville, New Hampshire is located in the state’s northeast corner and is part of Grafton County. The city is nestled along the Connecticut River and has a population of just under 3,000 people. The climate in Woodsville is typical of New England, with hot summers and cold winters. Summers average around 80 degrees Fahrenheit while winters tend to dip to below freezing temperatures.

The history of Woodsville dates back to 1764 when it was first incorporated as a town. In 1832, it became a city and was renamed after the original settler, Thomas Wood. Throughout its history, Woodsville has been home to many industries including paper mills and lumber mills which were major sources of employment for many years.

Other landmarks include a covered bridge built in 1829 over Oyster River that still stands today as well as several historical buildings from early settlers around town such as homesteads or old mills that have been converted into museums or shops over time.
